The Pittsburg Economic Development Corporation (PEDC) works alongside the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to assist with new and existing businesses in Pittsburg and the surrounding area. The SBDC is a partnership program with the U.S. Small Business Administration that is designed to provide small businesses with the practical assistance needed to survive, grow, and prosper.

Building Permit(s)
Opening your business inside the City Limits of Pittsburg could require a license from the Building Inspection Department. Please visit Building Inspection Department at City Hall, 200 Rusk St to obtain the required paperwork and permits.
Hanson-Sewell Center
There are a number of classes and assistance through the Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) Hanson-Sewell Center in Pittsburg that focus on continuing education, corporate training, allied health, and a variety of leadership courses. The Hanson-Sewell Center includes five classrooms, including a computer and distance learning laboratory. The large conference room can also be used as two small classrooms. The building is also designed to accommodate community meetings, banquets, and events, or by area businesses for professional meetings.
