Multi-year Revitalization Project is in Progress

In the know graphic

A multi-year revitalization project is in progress in a combined effort between the City of Pittsburg, the Pittsburg Economic Development Corporation, and the Pittsburg Main Street Advisory Board. The project goals are to improve Historic Main Street’s infrastructure to attract new businesses and visitors to our community. Infrastructure improvements include ADA acceptable sidewalks, better pedestrian crossings and lighting for safety, updated green spaces, public bathrooms, a new sound system, additional benches, trash receptacles, and new landscaping with further access to electrical and water outlets.

Pittsburg’s downtown has received many awards and recognition for our community, but much work needs to be done.  A great deal of planning is in the works at this very moment from local stakeholders to help achieve these goals. Use this site to follow along with our progress.
